To the Beach ~ with Big!!

A whole week ago we were on our way home from a fun beach trip with Big. I am just a little late posting about it. Maddox was OK with the sand, but he did not LOVE it. He would much rather be sitting on the steps at the pool. Maggie was not crazy about the beach, but I did get a few pictures where she wasn't crying, so it appears that she likes it. She is definitely not a Beach Baby, yet. Hopefully, that will change. Maddox's main reason for going to the beach is so that he can ride go-carts. He loves "The Track" and that is all he wants to talk about.

We had so much fun, Big! Thank you for such a great trip. We can't wait until next year!

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Husband!

Matt

I just have to tell you that the father of my 2 children is the most wonderful husband/father in the world. He treats me like a queen and is so good to me even when I do not deserve it. His strengths are my weaknesses. He puts his family before anything else, always encouraging us and planning fun things for us to do as a family. He was born 29 years ago and I must say that his parents did quite an amazing job raising him. I am so thankful for this man and I'm so happy that HE is the one I am going to grow old with!

Happy Birthday, Babe! I LOVE YOU!!

A Time for EVERYTHING!!

I am so amazed when I look at this world and think of how God has everything under control. There are so many things going on around us and He knows and cares about it all (good and bad). He even has the hairs on our head numbered, isn't that so cool that he cares about that?? Anyway, the reason I am writing about all of this is because I know one family celebrating a birthday of their 2 year old son (Happy Birthday Jack!) and another family who is grieving the loss of a precious family member. Dr. Perry went HOME to be with Jesus this morning. I cannot fathom the pain that his sweet family is feeling. The only thing I can think right now is that there is truly "A Time for Everything". Please lift this family up and ask for a peace that passes all understanding.

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

9 What does the worker gain from his toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on men. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. 13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
